OceanSide WebWorks — last updated November 2026
SlipLanding has no accounts, no analytics SDKs, no ads, and no tracking. Navigation records are stored on your device. Online map and weather features make requests to third-party services, and you may choose to send a support email as described below.
Precise location is used on-device for the vessel marker, speed/heading readouts, route origin, the man-overboard marker, and track recording. Weather and alert requests send the selected destination coordinates to the National Weather Service. Map requests identify the geographic area being viewed. An optional problem report may include your current GPS coordinates and map center; it is sent only if you choose to send the email.
Routes, waypoints, vessel profiles, recorded tracks, offline chart packs, and marina information live in the app's local storage only.
Settings → "Report a problem" opens your mail app with a diagnostic summary for OceanSide WebWorks. It may include your GPS fix and accuracy, map center and zoom history, tile errors, online state, active marina, route and map settings, offline-pack information, and browser/device software information. You can review, edit, or cancel the email before sending. Nothing is uploaded automatically by this reporting feature.
If you send a support email, we receive your email address, any sender name supplied by your mail app, your message, and the diagnostic details you choose to include. These are used to respond to your request and troubleshoot the app, and are associated with your email. Contact support@oceansidewebworks.com to request deletion of support correspondence.
Chart tiles and weather data are fetched from NOAA, OpenStreetMap, Esri, and US state imagery services. Those services see ordinary HTTP request metadata (IP address, requested URL), including the selected coordinates or map area represented in the request. Native address search uses Apple Maps services. Third-party services process requests under their own privacy policies. Marina, POI, and chart databases are bundled inside the app; optional signed data updates are verified on-device and contain no executable code.
